In an effort to help employees work better and more effectively, many organisations give them personality assessment tests. Depending on how any employee answers a variety of questions, he or she is categorised into a specific personality type. After seeing how useful personality assessment can be at the workplace, Gap Clothing has developed a system of matching a sales persons approach to a customer’s personality type: for example, using a more intensive approach when a customer really needs some help in deciding what to buy.
