In a March 2 “Culturebox ,” Timothy Noah described the words humbug, poppycock, tommyrot, hooey, twaddle, balderdash, claptrap, palaver, hogwash, buncombe (or “bunk”), hokum, drivel, flapdoodle, and bullpucky as adjectives. In fact, they are nouns.  -Slate
